A Study of Buddhist Teachings for the Employers and Employees

Abstract

       This research was a study of Buddhist Teachings for the employers and employees which was aimed to (1) study the duties and regulations of the employers and employees according to Thai Labor Law, (2) to study the duties and regulations of the employers and employees according to Buddhism, and (3) to suggest the Buddhist teachings for the employers and employees.

The methodology for this research was the qualitative Research one using the documentary investigation as following ; (1) surveyed and collected the related data in primary sources which was The Thai Labor Protecting Law, Supreme Court Judgment, texts and journals about Thai Labor Protecting Law and the online media research works Thai Labor protecting Law. (2) survey and collected the related data in secondary sources by studying Tipitaka Scripture, Commentary, books and journals in Buddhism field and online media research works. (3) analyzed the data and then presented the results of this research.
It was found that the Buddhist teachings suitable for employers and employees in Thailand are Fourteen in number The ones compatible with the employers are as following : Conscience, Parents Grateful, Awareness, Four Sublime States of Mind,  Four Prejudices, Six Virtues, Four Sangahawattu Base of sympathy, Acts of doing favors, Principles of services, Virtues making for group integration and leadership., Seven Qualities of a good man and Five Fairly  respectively where as  the Five ones compatible with the employees are as following : Conscience, Parents Grateful,  Forbearance, Awareness, and Three Honesty respectively, etc.
